Winners Announced for the 8th Players’ Choice Awards
It’s the 8th year that Popular Airsoft have held the Player Choice Awards and with less than a month until IWA, the winners have been announced.
For the last 2 months the fans and community have voted in droves. This event has always been campaign heavy as every company wants to get their most loyal fans involved.
Along with the campaigning comes the discussions, as heated conversations spread across the Facebook Groups and Forums for the weeks leading up to, and after the event. What normally transpires are arguments how certain brands got (or paid to) get there; however this year we see with no major upsets with the results.
If anything, I’m confident in saying you would find it hard not to agree with the large proportion of the 2018 Award winners.
Before I list the winners, I want to make clear that this is simply a popularity contest and a snapshot in time how the community feel about a specific company or item. While it’s a fantastic event and does the industry great justice; there are a small minority that get personally offended by the results, don’t be that guy.
Without events like this the industry would be a less interesting place. I’ll be at the Awards Cenemony held at IWA next month and aim to catch a few videos with the winners on the day.
With all that said and done – I want to give a huge congratulations to the winners and finalists. It was also very flattering to see Airsoft Nation reach the finalist stage, so thank you to anyone who voted.
