If the Policing and Crime Bill 2015-16 passes through Parliament unhindered, then owners of Gas Blowback Rifles will be seriously affected. If the Police have any cause to seize your RIFs, and send them off for testing – all the examiners need to do is load your beloved GBBR with heavy ammo and black gas, flick the switch to automatic, and pew! If it’s over 1.3J, it becomes a Section 5 firearm – and a mandatory five year prison sentence ensues.
